Dodgy Spam

For the first time the other day I received a piece of spam email that genuinely offended me. I’ve had all sorts – the penis extension mails, ads for viagra and every other kind of prescription drug, porn ads, scat girls and even ads for besitality sites! But none of them ever bothered me until this one…
The spam in question seems to have turned up in a lot of people’s mailboxes lately, and it’s basically an email aimed at Christians and “inviting them back to the right path” or something like that. The senders are apparently Muslim, and the content of the email is all about how Christianity has gone down the wrong path and is full of falsehood etc etc. Now I wouldn’t call myself a Christian – more of an occultist or perhaps Qabalist if anything – but this deeply offended me. It’s not enough that I have to wade through mountains of crap from underhanded and lazy advertisers, but now I get this religiously biased narrow minded bollox sent to me as well. Were I actually a avidly faithful Christian I would likely be even more offended by this – but just the very principal upsets me. What idiot decided it would be a good idea to spam random people telling them that their ideas of religion are crap and stupid and that they should wake up to the true spirituality.
As if Islam didn’t have enough problems with the zealots and assorted nutters – now they have spammers. Religious nuts shouldn’t be allowed to use the internet! /rant
