I've been working on motion tracking too. The difference filter technique can be adapted to be pretty smooth with some bitmap effects, but I think for proper tracking colours and blobs will be needed. More processor intensive but for the sake of an experiment worth a shot. Anyway, my motion traking is here http://blog.soulwire.co.uk/flash/actionscript-3/webcam-motion-detection-tracking/

Nice implementation though, perhaps an output of the camera image would help the usability?

Great!

Not exactly Minority Report responsiveness but nevertheless good kick off to your flex career. Would be interesting to see how you can further optimise the response to handmovements. Perhaps making the controls 'paddles' smoother and detection more acccurate.

regards,

Bjorn
