Theosophical nattering

Trisha came around sunday afternoon, and we had a good old chat about theosophy in general and about the things I’ve been exploring lately. Also had a bit of a discussion on the issues I’ve been having overcoming conditioned responses from when I was a child, and finding my own opinions on things – the whole exercise was very enjoyable. It was also nice just to catch up with Trish as we haven’t seen her in ages.

In an interesting way chats like this also highlight my ignorance, in that I attempt to explain these concepts to my friends – concepts which I have barely grasped myself – and tend not to be able to express fully what I believe it’s on about. I obviously have a lot of learning to do, which I don’t mind, just need to be able to find the time without missing out on other important things.

I think it’s about time I started taking notes as well – I’ve been just reading through everything up till now in the belief that it was better to get a broad understanding before I started getting into detail and nutting it out but I’m finding I really need to be laying it down and reiterating it myself so that I can learn properly. It’s probably a good exercise for testing the mind mapping processes – I’ll dig out a fresh notebook and start on that this week I think…

Sigh. I of all people left a closing quote off the end of my link to your blog – hence the non visible post.
