Resellers
Ok ok I’ve been slack – it’s been a busy couple of weeks…
On the other hand – who hates resellers? I loathe the business models that have sprung up based on resellers – you almost never get direct service from a provider such as vodaphone or optus. Instead you’re stuck with some poxy reseller who’s barely got it together, keeps his entire business’ files in a single large binder and really doesn’t give a toss whether you get what you need or not.
It’s a generalization I admit, and I’m sure they’re not all like this – it’s just that I’ve had so many bad experiences with them. It’s a symptom of the way society has developed these days I think – much like the lack of customer service in most other kinds of stores. The owners of a business no longer actually meet the customers, and the kids employed on the cash register are just doing bare minimum for award wages till they find something better or get fired…
As you may have noticed, I’m a little grumpy this morning. Apart from generally wanting to go back to bed, I think it’s because I got dragged into a conversation this morning by an old woman on the train. I don’t want conversation that early in the morning, I’m too busy mourning the loss of my comfy bed. Ah well, bitterness purged, back to work.
