Pain Barrier
Phew – this morning I had the best workout I’ve had in years. It’s not amazing as far as workouts go but compared to what I’ve been doing prior (IE nothing) it’s a miracle
Treadmill, bike, circuit, meditation and splits stretching all made it in this morning, and during the whole thing I was banging along to a great track on the mp3 player, so I actually really enjoyed myself. Everything was a notch up on what it was last week or even at the beginning of this week, so I really felt as though I worked hard. Plus the stretches were awesome – perhaps it’s because I was super warmed up by then, or perhaps because of the work I’ve been doing on my legs but I got down to well under 12 inches off the ground – which is the closest I’ve been to the splits in years!
All in all I’m well chuffed, and surprisingly bouyed up. I’m not exactly bursting with energy but I definitely felt a difference today – especially before lunch. Thinking clearer and just able to apply myself better, so its all good, and encouraging me to keep it up.
All that said however, thank God for the weekend!
