Dinner with friends

Had an old and dear friend around to dinner last night – turns out it’s a year since I last got together with Trisha! Must try to see her more often than that – I’m gradually starting to organise my life a little better and get in more time for friends and family.

Anyways, we had a very pleasant evening, despite me losing concentration and overcooking the vegetables :( It was a glazed carrot and radish dish so with the sugar etc in the pan it makes it very easy to burn it… and I left it in too long. So R ducked out and picked up some mixed vegetables and scallop potatoes from the chicken place down the road *blush*. First time I’ve cocked up a recipe in ages, and it wou;d have to happen on the first occasion I cook for a friend hehe.

It was really good to see Trisha actually – I’ve found that along with the family stuff I’m finding the companionship of good friends very important. Trisha I’ve known for a long time now, and we have a lot of shared history from back in Warrnambool etc so it’s nice to catch up on that sometimes – plus she was on the different side of my circle of friends, involved in the church stuffs as well so I have experiences and memories to share with her that Big Michael won’t have known etc. It’s almost surprising how much it means to me to have people like Big Michael and Sian, and Trisha around me – life has changed a lot :)

I’ve also pressed the Templar Revelation upon her so I can get her opinions on the many many questions that book raises for me, so I’m eagerly awaiting that conversation :) Oh that’s a point, I’ll add a link to Trisha’s blog now…

I feel bad because I can’t remember who Trish is. I recognise the name, but I’m still no closer. I’m sure I’ve met her at least once. I made myself feel better about it by reading her blog.

Sounds good. Say when. Although not this Saturday, because we’re being footy nerds. And hopefully will be for a couple of Saturdays after that as well.

That sounds like a good idea. I’d like to spend more time getting to know Trisha when I’m not feeling half comatose!

B was so funny, asking for Trisha to come back the next night. He knows how to pick ‘em!

Angel..?!? Thank you Trisha :D
