Windows on second hard disk
Wow – I’ve been labouring under the (apparently common) misconception that Windows would refuse to play nice unless it was installed on the first hard disk in the chain. At the very least, it had to have a boot partition installed on the first hard disk – but today I found a couple of sites that would indicate differently. The better one is here [weiqigao.com] – I haven’t tried it yet as I don’t have a spare hard disk to put winblows on but hopefully just setting up that kind of entry in Grub will do the trick.
I’ve been toying with the idea of ripping the harddisk out of my dev server and putting winblows on it but a) The idea of overwriting a suse install with M$ makes me upset 
and b) it’s possibly a little frivolous to dismantle a development server just to allow me to play games…. Then again the latter has never stopped me before – I’ll let you know
